Satiric to the term “No Fly Zone” or in Thai translations “No Flies Allowed,” Sakarin Krue-on worked with the simple techniques of hand waving, optical tricks, and “ the digital technology” of using CD ROMs to reflect and scare flies away from a pile of fermented fish arranged in the form of a landscape. The Video humorously criticizes the “global village society” that we all actually try to find ways to protect our own borders, until we reach the stage of complete stranger, this zone is around us, and we are, in other’s eyes, just flies waiting to be crushed.
